A. VISA

Travel to India requires visa.
To facilitate your visa application, you may require the following documents:

1. Invitation letter from the Symposium Organizers.

2. Approval from Delhi University.

3. Letter of clearance from Ministry of Home Affairs.

4. Letter of clearance from Ministry of External Affairs.

5. Letter of clearance from Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Scanned copies of approvals from Govt. of India are available on this website under “Approvals” for your application for visa.
Formal invitation letter for participation may, however, be obtained from the Organizing Secretary.

B. Weather

Weather in Delhi during the period of Symposium would be slightly warm and pleasant. Maximum temperature is likely to be around 24-25°C and minimum may vary from 13-15°C.

C. Currency

All cash payments in India are made in Indian rupees. Please convert some of your currency into Indian Rupees at Delhi airport itself before you exit from the airport.

D. Taxi

You are advised to hire a radio cab (taxi) (MERU or MEGA) available from the first lane of the arrival area after exit from the Delhi airport (Terminal 3).
